New course joins suite of Executive Education programmes offered in Queenstown

Queenstown Resort College is introducing a new course on media training and crisis management as part of its successful Executive Education series.
Survival Kit for the New Media Age joins the suite of top-level academic courses offered at Queenstown Resort College for senior executives, as Queenstown continues to become a recognised study destination.
Run in partnership with the Otago University Business School, QRC’s Executive Education Programme is targeted at senior management personnel for their professional development. Facilitators are New Zealand-based academic and industry professionals with leadership, finance, governance, management, marketing and professional specialisations.
Survival Kit for the New Media Age is a newly-developed, comprehensive media training course to be held on September 9-11, 2014. Facilitated by renowned Queenstown public relations, crisis management and social media advisor Alexa Forbes, experienced television news and current affairs journalist Tsehai Tiffin and cameraman Mike McLeod, Survival Kit for the New Media Age provides the tools crucial to brand promotion in good times and protection during and after a crisis. The other courses are: Marketing – Creating Value for Customers on October 20-25, led by Otago Business School’s Dr Sergio Biggemann; Enhancing Leadership on November 17-25, led by human resources expert Kristen Cooper and Tom Matthews, a positive psychology practitioner based at Canterbury University; Finance for Non-Financial Managers, facilitated by corporate governance expert and finance lecturer at Otago University Business School Dr Helen Roberts, will be held in April 2015.
All the courses are accredited through the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Accelerate Success scheme, so businesses that qualify are able to apply for up to 50% of the course costs.
