Award-winning law firm Cavell Leitch is expanding its Queenstown team as the resort’s commercial and property industries continue to strengthen.

Lana Christensen is the newest member to join Cavell Leitch’s growing Queenstown office.

Christensen joins the Cavell Leitch team as a Solicitor, bringing nearly seven years of industry experience in commercial and property law with her. She adds to the already impressive legal team of Principal Partner, Stephen Brent and Senior Associate, Karen Castiglione.

Christensen believes her skills will complement Cavell Leitch’s offering: “Having worked in a smaller law office in Christchurch I have been involved with a wide range of issues across many different areas of law,” she says.

“Queenstown is going through a period of growth right now and Cavell Leitch is a great resource to help with any legal issues people may have.”

A keen netball player, Lana comes to Queenstown from Canterbury with her partner and loves the lifestyle and scenery that the region offers. “Queenstown is an amazing place to be able to live and work, I’m just trying to get out and see as much of it as I can,” she says.

Cavell Leitch Queenstown Principal Partner, Stephen Brent says: “The outlook for commercial property development in Queenstown is strong, with several new buildings in the pipeline such as the Countdown, Mitre 10 Mega and Pak’n’Save developments on Frankton Flats, as well as the continued expansion of Remarkables Park. We believe that Queenstown will continue to grow and prosper, so we have made the decision to grow our firm with this in mind.

“We are thrilled to have Lana join our team. She brings not only youth and enthusiasm, but a wealth of experience with her. She’s a fantastic young Solicitor who will be able to handle a great deal of work cost-effectively for our clients. We’re really excited about having her join the team and expanding our Queenstown office.”
